review: Artists Guitars & Amps
Twelve members of the string group demonstrated their skills on 4-, 5-, 6-, 7-, 8- and 12-string instruments: In the brand new sweatbloodtears #GUITAR box, which was one of the core pieces in the musicpark's hall 2, national and international guitarists and bassists performed live with their touring set-up, shared their knowledge at the Academy and/or introduced beginners to the instruments in the PlayZone. The exceptional Scottish musician Midge Ure was a special guest at the musicpark.

Jen Majura: She is the guitarist in the US band Evanescence and has been part of the sweatbloodtears crew since 2017. In the box, she brings the 2 Ps: Power & Passion.

Keith Merrow: Keith works as a studio guitarist, songwriter, producer and teacher in his home state Oregon/USA. His metal sound is based on the original roots and he has consistently developed it further in modern ways.

Mattias IA Eklundh: Mattias is a real bundle of energy. The Swede is synonymous with Freak Guitar. His solo performances are in no way inferior to his master classes. You have to see him!

Tom Longworth: Tom is an integral part of Robbie Williams' band. His guitar solos speak for themselves. He loves stages, the bigger the better. In 2018 he was a sweatbloodtears box guest. What a sound - what a technique!

Thomas Zwjisen: Innovative interpretation is his middle name. Iron Maiden would be proud of him. He will also be accompanied by an incredibly talented violinist. Pure acoustics!

Alen Brentini: In addition to his solo project, he is full-time guitarist for Andreas Gabalier. You can see for yourself how great his scope is in the largest arenas of the German-speaking world.

Nick Johnston: The exceptional Canadian guitarist stands for virtuoso playing & licks. His millions of YouTube clicks are no accident.

Jekko Stjepanovic: Jekko is a regular guest at the Zanki brothers' Kangaroo Digital Studios. In many songs in the studio and on stage his bass lines are the fundamental basis for perfect live sound.

Julia Hofer:
The 24-year-old Austrian is no longer an insider tip. She embodies the term "cross-over". Electric bass, double bass and cello are all in her wheelhouse.

Oliver Hartmann: Oliver Hartmann rocks the stages worldwide with Avantasia. His project, Hartmann, proves that he is not only an excellent guitarist, but also an extraordinary singer and songwriter.

Rüdiger Eisenhauer: Ukulele at its best! Rüdiger Eisenhauer is one of the best live and studio guitarists in Germany. His musicality and versatility know no bounds.

Special Guest Midge Ure: When Midge wrote the first world hits like "Fade to grey", "Vienna" or "Dancing with tears in my eyes", no one called his genre "singer/songwriter" yet. In 1979, when he helped out on Thin Lizzy's US tour as Gary Moore's successor, he wrote the song "Get out of here" and rocked the arenas together with Phil Lynott. Together with Bob Geldof he wrote the title "Do they know its Christmas", which is still one of the most successful and most played songs ever.
