Review: Artists Drums
Twelve drummers brought the beat to the musicpark: In the brand-new sweatbloodtears box #DRUM, which was one of the main attractions in hall 2 at musicpark, local and international drummers performed live on their tour sets, shared their knowledge at the Academy or introduced beginners to the instruments in the PlayZone.

Patrick Metzger is not only associated with the feel-good music of Beatrice Egli, for whom he drums, but also with his great expertise in the field of drumming.

Senri Kawaguchi: the scene's shooting star, or better said the new icon from Japan

Jost Nickel is known beyond Germany these days as a top drummer. With Jan Delay & Disko No1 he not only plays groovy beats at festivals, but also passes on his understanding for perfect fills at Drum College.

Gary Wallis is probably one of the most underrated drummers in the world. His roots can be traced back to his work with Pink Floyd. For many years he has been Tom Jones' musical director. He is also a founding member of Mike & the Mechanics. His most recent project is Schiller. This live act has successfully performed a bombastic show in the biggest arenas all around German-speaking countries.

The power duo Will Hunt (drums) and Jen Majura (guitar), better known as members of the US band EVANESCENCE were presented on all three days.
They have been on a world tour for the last two years with the show "Evanescence Synthesis." The concerts were sold out in the famous Sydney Opera House in Australia and in many other venues in Asia and America. Straight from their European tour, Jen Majura and Will Hunt rocked the musicpark every day.

Karl Brazil drums for Robbie Williams and James Blunt.

Michael Schack from Belgium is one of the best Drum & Beats ambassadors. Together with Netsky he has rocked festivals all over the world and has a very successful solo act. The drummer plays in stadiums for more than 10,000 people in the neighbouring Netherlands and Belgium. The name Michael Schack is synonymous with hard-hitting live electro beats. And at musicpark he was one of the stars you could get to know on any of the three days.

Max & Simon with their percussion duo "Dreschheads" are a big hit internationally.

Moritz Müller performs with the Italian rock goddess Gianna Nannini. He is also a member of Rock meets Classic - an ensemble in which superstars such as Alice Cooper and other stars of rock history tour with a large orchestra.

Cortijo and Stefan Maas have become an irreplaceable part of the percussion faction. Both shine with their playing styles and their sound varieties.
