11/2/19 | 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM time
The ensemble "TastSinn" emerged in 2007 from the Musikschulakkordeonorchester and consists of five experienced Accordionists. For professional reasons, the members now live all over Germany, but meet at least once a month for a rehearsal at the music school Flöha. The current line-up of the ensemble: 1st voice Anja Dietrich, 2nd voice Doreen Babin, 3rd voice Anika Cyrnik, 4th voice Nadine Müller, bass Michael Lieberwirth. Since its foundation the ensemble has been successfully led by accordion teacher Traude Hepfner. True to the motto "Accordion can do more than just folk music", the musicians regularly organise concerts in the Chemnitz region, which are enjoying increasing popularity. TastSinn's repertoire includes classical pieces, original compositions for accordion as well as sophisticated light music and arrangements of traditional melodies. Guest appearances have taken the ensemble to Braunschweig and Berlin, as well as to the Semperoper Dresden and the Gewandhaus Leipzig. The accordionists have proven their skills in numerous (inter)national competitions and were awarded first prize at the International Accordion Festival in Innsbruck in 2013 and at the "Georgi-Galabov-Contest" in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2015.
